What is TEDx?

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxClayton, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxClayton event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.  Link to event on ted.com.

Shaping the Human Experience.

To shape:  build, form, make, develop in a particular way.

To be human:  mortal, compassionate, kind, humane.

To experience:  undergo something, to feel, to learn.

We imagine a society in which people care about each other first.  In the places we work, learn, play, heal and grow, we SHAPE and are shaped by others.  Organizations, groups and teams where these experiences and interactions take place have the power and potential to be the most powerful force of good in our societies today.  If we measure success by the way we touch the life of another HUMAN, what is possible today and for generations to come?  TEDxClayton seeks to answer this question through distinguished speakers from a variety of industries, backgrounds, and ways of thinking that will inspire, challenge, and shape you.  Through time and togetherness we boldly launch TEDxClayton.  Welcome to the EXPERIENCE.
